This new Asian sandwich shop in Hell’s Kitchen offers an ice cream sandwich that’s a real treat. They call it the “1000 year old” ice cream sandwich because it resembles the 1000 year old eggs, a preserved egg that is buried underground and turns black.
If that doesn’t sound appetizing, don’t worry, the ice cream sandwich is. It has thin chocolate cookie, with carmel ice cream and a nougat of black carmel in the center (that’s what looks like the black egg). It’s absolutely delicious.
