The Soda Shop - scooponcones.com
This old-fashioned soda shop in Tribeca is worth visiting just for the atmosphere -- antique signs hanging from the walls, and old books lining shelves.
It’s ice cream is also great -- the Peanut Butter Crunch had ribbons of peanut butter. We think the Cake Batter was misnamed, it was more like a Birthday Cake with sprinkles. But whatever you call it, we’d like to eat it again.
As an added bonus, the shop sells hard-to-find sweets from our childhood, including candy cigarettes and wax mustaches.
They also offer sundaes, shakes and ice cream sandwiches.
In all, a great place to bring the kids or have a nostalgic date.
