Momofuku Milk Bar rotates its four soft-serve flavors monthly. Most exciting in April is Red Velvet.

The Red Velvet is spot on with a cakey flavor, mild chocolate, and reddish-brown color.

The other flavors are Carrot Cake, Cereal Milk (this really tastes like you’re tipping up the bowl after polishing off your corn flakes) and Cream Cheese Frosting. Sadly, the Cream Cheese tasted more like frosting and less like the tangy cheese.

Known for unusual flavors, Momofuku has even served Stuffing soft serve. What’s it like? Not sweet at all, it tastes like bread with a finish of vegetables and herbs. Let’s just say it was interesting, but you’d really have to be a stuffing fan to finish a whole dish.

The Milk Bar is right around the corner from the exclusive East Village restaurant. It’s far easier to get in to, but keeps the hip atmosphere with a dark, industrial decor and community standing tables -- long tables that you stand at to eat.
