This new gelato and crepe shop appears to be quite popular, with a steady line out the door on hot nights. It’s the first New York installment of a SoCal-based chain.

The gelato is dense and has a lovely texture that slowly dissolves on the tongue.

Too bad the flavors weren’t as intense as we’d hoped. Instead of a big flavor that hits you over the head, they have mild flavors that you kind of think about, like, “Oh, I guess this does taste like Creme Brulee.” The Mascarpone Carmel Pistachio only tastes like mascarpone, and a cup of Black Forrest and White Chocolate Raspberry left a bad aftertaste.

Hours: 10 a.m.- 11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-Midnight Friday-Saturday

Price: $3.50 small; $5.45 large

Special Diets: Some nonfat flavors available, one (strawberry) was made with Splenda

Phone: (646) 344-1287
