Green Apple, the newest edition to Nolita’s gelato scene, is a little gelato and smoothie store. The gelato is made fresh every day, and the flavors vary.

We really enjoyed the Mama Mia, which is a cherry with a drizzling of frozen dark chocolate. It was creamy and delightful, and we’d get it again even though it doesn’t have the density and big flavors one hopes for in gelato.

The lychee sorbet was tangy and also delicious. It’s an icy sort of sorbet, but the texture went well with the flavor.

We also appreciate the effusive staff, who give lots of samples and seem eager to get their store off to a good start.
