People who prefer ice cream to gelato might like the gelato offerings at Golosi: The flavors are milder, and the texture is lighter, than we typically expect from gelato.
Add in a limited selection (about 10 flavors of sorbet and gelato combined) and you get an unimpressive gelato store.
The orange sorbet, however, was a perfect and delightful rendition of a creamsicle.
They do offer cute mini cones, which are about 2 inches tall. Good for kids and dieters -- and at $1.75 a pop, probably good for Golosi’s bottom line.
Golosi also has a location near Grand Central that sells pizza and gelato.
