Dylan’s Candy Bar, founded by the daughter of Ralph Lauren, gets an A++ for presentation. The candy store appears to be a Candy Land game come to life, and the ice cream and sundaes served in the upstairs café look idyllic.

Expect mild flavors and sweet ice cream. The Blue Mint Chip is all blue food coloring and a bit sweeter than we like our mint.

They have some exciting new breakfast-themed flavors: Pancakes & Syrup and Coffee & Donuts. They have real cakey pieces of pancakes or donuts inside. But again, the ice cream itself is very sweet and mild.

The verdict: Bring the munchkins and enjoy an afternoon sugar high, but don’t expect the ice cream to taste as good as it looks.

And a big kudos to the staff, who were all super-nice and helpful.
