We’re really psyched about this Latin diner that just opened in Chelsea. And yes, we are heavily influenced by their helados (that’s ice cream if you’ve forgotten your Spanish 101 vocab).

The flavors have a Latin flair: Cafe Cubano (coffee); Leche Condensada (condensed milk); Apple Mojito; Tamarind; Guava-Mango-Tequila.

Our favorite was the Cafe Cubano, which was both creamy and intense with coffee beans. All were worthy of a second order.

We also liked the Apple Mojito Float, which has no alcohol despite its namesake cocktail. It’s a combination of sorbet, ginger ale and mint leaves for a concoction that is both kid friendly and adult pleasing.

The sundae we tried was yummy, too, but a lot of the Latin intricacies were lost on us. Despite the fancy ingredients it tasted like a vanilla sundae with carmel, chocolate and crunchies.
