The ice cream cart outside Cafe Cluny is easy to miss in the tangle of streets in the West Village, but it should be added to the list of must-try NYC ice creams. Why? Because of their creative flavors and creamy textures.

We were dubious of the Banana-Vanilla Wafer, but it won us over -- largely because it’s made with real bananas. But it still won’t please those who don’t like banana flavors or mushy foods -- the wafers get really soft.

The Cappuccino Chocolate Chip was even more of a crowd pleaser, and among the creamiest of the ice creams we’ve tried.

Our only complaint is the hours. We think they should be expanded!
