Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory - scooponcones.com
This is simply some of the creamiest ice cream ever. It’s so fluffy it whips us into a frenzy.
The strawberry is the best selection at this Dumbo shop, located inside the old Fulton Fire House. Some of the other flavors get a bit lost in the folds of heavenly cream. But they’re all good.
Of course, nothing is perfect -- and the deterrent to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is its line, which can wind out of the store and down to the rail of the pier on the East River. But it moves pretty briskly, and hey -- you probably just waited in a ginormous line to get Grimaldi’s pizza, so what’s another wait?
The store gets pretty hot and sticky in the summer, so eat your cone outside while gazing at a breathtaking view of Manhattan.
In the summer, they also set up a tent with additional seating outside, and have a separate cart which helps curb the lines.
Not in Dumbo? Visit the Greenpoint location, sans line, and a cart outside of Grand Central (summer only).
