Blue Marble - scooponcones.com
We love the ice cream at Blue Marble, made with milk from grass-fed cows in the Hudson Valley. And so we were really sad when their flagship store in Boerum Hill closed last year.
But happily Blue Marble has opened a new location in nearby Cobble Hill. This store is much smaller than their shuttered one, but still offers their delicious ice cream.
Though cozy with just one table, we loved the ice cream-inspired art that covered the walls — and even a stuffed ice cream cone on a shelf! (pictured right)
We got a cup of the Grapenut ice cream, which was really delightful. The ice cream softened up the cereal just enough so it still added texture but didn’t hurt our teeth like regular Grapenuts do. The cereal-y taste was infused throughout the Vanilla base. It was subtle, not overly sweet and just right.
Blue Marble also sells shakes, sundaes, floats and egg creams.
Not in Cobble Hill? They also have a Prospect Heights location, and Blue Marble carts can be found at the Brooklyn Flea and other outdoor events.
