Sometimes all the lounging and sun soaking of a Hamptons escape can get exhausting. When that happens, it’s time for an ice cream break at Big Olaf.
Big Olaf specializes in homemade waffle cones the size of McMansions. Up to three different flavors of ice cream can go inside a waffle cone, and they have a wide selection to choose from: everything from Cotton Candy to Double Fudge Brownie to Berry Pomegranate Granola (the best of several flavors we tried).
The cones really do shine here. They are warm and subtly sweet, softening slightly under the melting ice cream.
And the serving size is big enough to serve a small army, or at least all the city folk you’ve crammed into your rental for the weekend.
