The Limelight — once a church, then a nightclub — has been turned into a stunning marketplace and we were very pleasantly surprised with the gelato we found inside the specialty food room.
Baci Gelato has a display freezer with gelatos and sorbets that look enticing and taste even better.
We tried a Pistachio gelato pop that was out of this world. The gelato itself tastes more like the actual nut than the pudding flavor. Then it was dipped in a hard coating, and topped with some actual pistachios. The result: creamy, nutty, divine.
We also sampled the soy, sugar-free Hazelnut gelato, admittedly with low expectations. But it was also nice and gets an A+ for a creamy texture. We preferred the regular flavors, but this was a nice option for our vegan and lactose-intolerant friends.
The Limelight is so packed full of shops that it’s easy to get lost and hard to find your way around. Look for Baci on the ground floor next to a cake counter.
